d2ed260822 Bug 1517241 - Rename nsIDocument to mozilla::dom::Document. r=smaug
Summary: Really sorry for the size of the patch. It's mostly automatic
s/nsIDocument/Document/ but I had to fix up in a bunch of places manually to
add the right namespacing and such.

Overall it's not a very interesting patch I think.

nsDocument.cpp turns into Document.cpp, nsIDocument.h into Document.h and
nsIDocumentInlines.h into DocumentInlines.h.

I also changed a bunch of nsCOMPtr usage to RefPtr, but not all of it.

While fixing up some of the bits I also removed some unneeded OwnerDoc() null
checks and such, but I didn't do anything riskier than that.

d8afcd19f3 Bug 1469769 - Part 2: animation: Replace failing NS_NOTREACHED with NS_ERROR. r=heycam
I'm replacing non-failing calls to NS_NOTREACHED with MOZ_ASSERT_UNREACHABLE, but this NS_NOTREACHED fails when running the devtools/client/animationinspector/test/browser_animation_refresh_on_removed_animation.js test. This assertion failure is bug 1189015.

This patch DOES NOT fix the cause of the assertion failure (a missing TextNodeCorrespondenceProperty). It just replaces this failing NS_NOTREACHED with NS_ERROR because I can't replace with a fatal MOZ_ASSERT_UNREACHABLE.

This was done automatically replacing:

Removing the 'using mozilla::Move;' lines.

And then with a few manual fixups, see the bug for the split series..

06a6d6e207 Bug 1407858 part 1. Give DOMString setter APIs clearer names. r=smaug
The renaming here is like this:

  SetStringBuffer -> SetKnownLiveStringBuffer
  SetEphemeralStringBuffer -> SetStringBuffer
  SetOwnedString -> SetKnownLiveString
  SetOwnedAtom -> SetKnownLiveAtom

This should make it clearer what the lifetime expectations are on the caller side.

Bug 1400459 devirtualized nsIAtom so that it is no longer a subclass of

dfd3b7e7aa Bug 1400459 (part 2) - Devirtualize nsIAtom. r=heycam.
This patch merges nsAtom into nsIAtom. For the moment, both names can be used
interchangeably due to a typedef. The patch also devirtualizes nsIAtom, by
making it not inherit from nsISupports, removing NS_DECL_NSIATOM, and dropping
the use of NS_IMETHOD_. It also removes nsIAtom's IIDs.

These changes trigger knock-on changes throughout the codebase, changing the
types of lots of things as follows.

- nsCOMPtr<nsIAtom> --> RefPtr<nsIAtom>

- nsCOMArray<nsIAtom> --> nsTArray<RefPtr<nsIAtom>>
  - Count() --> Length()
  - ObjectAt() --> ElementAt()
  - AppendObject() --> AppendElement()
  - RemoveObjectAt() --> RemoveElementAt()

- ns*Hashtable<nsISupportsHashKey, ...> -->
  ns*Hashtable<nsRefPtrHashKey<nsIAtom>, ...>

- nsInterfaceHashtable<T, nsIAtom> --> nsRefPtrHashtable<T, nsIAtom>
  - This requires adding a Get() method to nsRefPtrHashtable that it lacks but
    nsInterfaceHashtable has.

- nsCOMPtr<nsIMutableArray> --> nsTArray<RefPtr<nsIAtom>>
  - nsArrayBase::Create() --> nsTArray()
  - GetLength() --> Length()
  - do_QueryElementAt() --> operator[]

The patch also has some changes to Rust code that manipulates nsIAtom.

e3c9cbb969 Bug 1401813 - Rename Null[C]String() as Void[C]String(). r=erahm.
XPCOM's string API doesn't have the notion of a "null string". But it does have
the notion of a "void string" (or "voided string"), and that's what these
functions are returning. So the names should reflect that.

956b429475 Bug 1249219 - Part 6: Support pseudo elements in Animation Mutation Observer. r=heycam
We use the parent element of a pseudo element as the subject to be notified.

Usage:
We record animations targeting to pseudo elements by setting subtree attribute
to true.

MutationObserver(Node, { subtree: ture });

So all the animations targeting to the pseudo elements whose parentElement is
the first argument will be recorded.

f32d302515 Bug 1194037 part 1 - Make nsAutoAnimationMutationBatch batch multiple elements at once; r=smaug
In bug 1195180 we plan to tick animations from their timeline where they
are stored in a hashtable. As a result, we will not visit them in order of
their associated target element (indeed, part of the reason we are doing
this is to support animations that do not have, or even have multiple target
elements).

The current animation mutation observer batching mechanism, however, assumes
that we visit each target element in turn and make all the necessary work at
once. In order to support visiting animations in a potentially random order
this patch reworks the animation mutation observer batching mechanism so that
it can support batching multiple elements at once.
