b2160ed2cf Bug 1035774 - Support dynamic input device changes for Android. r=jchen
Though we can't write automation tests for this, I have confirmed that the input
device added/removed are properly notified to 'browser.xul'. Unfortunately the
notifications don't reach to conent documents because of bug 1478212, but I've
also confirmed they did reach to content documents with replacing
MediaFeatureValuesChanged with MediaFeatureValuesChangedAllDocuments in
nsPresContext::RefreshSystemMetrics().

b0e6709e13 Bug 1476250 - Simplify HAL initialization and shutdown to reduce the chance of leaks and UAFs r=froydnj
This patch initializes some HAL components greedily so that we can get rid of
lazy initializers within the code. Observers are still lazily initialized
because they can be instanced within content processes but that doesn't always
happen and we don't want to pay the memory price for structures we don't use.

Shutdown is now happening at a fixed time for all HAL components save
WakeLocks. This ensures that we don't destroy an object while still iterating
over it, something that could happen before.

Finally a workaround for a compiler limitation has been removed.

15adf94f4d Bug 1348273 - Convert crash annotations into a machine-readable list of constants; r=ted.mielczarek,njn,dholbert,mak,cpearce,mcmanus,froydnj,Dexter,jrmuizel,jchen,jimm,bz,surkov
This introduces the machinery needed to generate crash annotations from a YAML
file. The relevant C++ functions are updated to take a typed enum. JavaScript
calls are unaffected but they will throw if the string argument does not
correspond to one of the known entries in the C++ enum. The existing whitelists
and blacklists of annotations are also generated from the YAML file and all
duplicate code related to them has been consolidated. Once written out to the
.extra file the annotations are converted in string form and are no different
than the existing ones.

All existing annotations have been included in the list (and some obsolete ones
have been removed) and all call sites have been updated including tests where
appropriate.

10ff9c706f Bug 1448040 - Remove HangMonitor/ChromeHangs r=Nika
Fairly straightforward, just a blanket removal. Haven't heard
anything on dev-platform or fx-data-dev regarding this removal,
so I think it's likely safe to remove on Nightly, and we can
revert if anyone makes a fuss.

As part of removing the HangMonitor, I renamed a few things and
reorganized the namespaces to not depend on a HangMonitor
namespace. Hopefully this doesn't produce too much noise in the
diff, it just seemed appropriate to move everything around
rather than keep dangling vestiges of the old system.

f02dcb9521 Bug 1466910 - 8. Use "content-document-global-created" to attach GeckoEditableSupport; r=esawin
Right now we use the "tab-child-created" notification to attach
GeckoEditableSupport to a PuppetWidget in the child process. However,
"tab-child-created" is not fired for all instances of PuppetWidget
creation, and attaching GeckoEditableSupport at this stage can also
cause race conditions.

This patch makes us listen to "content-document-global-created" instead,
but attach GeckoEditableSupport to the PuppetWidget the same way.

abf5056ead Bug 1462784 - Remove EVENTS category. r=njn
Categories are useful to indicate: This much % of time was spent in this category.

The EVENTS category isn't a very good match for this. This category is currently
only set on labels of functions that handle the processing of an event. But
those functions are usually closer to the base of the stack, and the actual CPU
work during the processing of an event is usually in another category closer to
the top of the stack, e.g. in JS if we're running an event handler, or in LAYOUT
if we're hit testing the position of the event.

This changeset removes the EVENTS category and replaces all uses of it with the
OTHER category.

d5f3264031 Bug 1442250 - 5. Reset native queue early when transferring; r=esawin
When we reset the old native queue when transferring to another session,
perform the reset right after the transfer() call, instead of in
onTransfer(), which is too late for clearing stale pending calls.

Then, after transferring to a new queue, let Gecko call Window.onReady
to set the new queue's state if needed. That way the Java queue state is
consistent with the Gecko state.

adad54189b Bug 1406168 - 5. Fix build; r=snorp
Removing the previous cpp files moved AndroidBridge.cpp to a different
compilation unit, and that caused some problems with other code that
depended on AndroidBridge being in or not in their compilation unit.
This patch fixes those (unwanted) dependencies.

58786e1ea7 Bug 1375392 - Tweak the PROFILER_LABEL* macros. r=mstange.
This patch makes the following changes to the macros.

- Removes PROFILER_LABEL_FUNC. It's only suitable for use in functions outside
classes, due to PROFILER_FUNCTION_NAME not getting class names, and it was
  mostly misused.

- Removes PROFILER_FUNCTION_NAME. It's no longer used, and __func__ is
  universally available now anyway.

- Combines the first two string literal arguments of PROFILER_LABEL and
PROFILER_LABEL_DYNAMIC into a single argument. There was no good reason for
them to be separate, and it forced a '::' in the label, which isn't always
appropriate. Also, the meaning of the "name_space" argument was interpreted
in an interesting variety of ways.

- Adds an "AUTO_" prefix to PROFILER_LABEL and PROFILER_LABEL_DYNAMIC, to make
it clearer they construct RAII objects rather than just being function calls.
(I myself have screwed up the scoping because of this in the past.)

- Fills in the 'js::ProfileEntry::Category::' qualifier within the macro, so
the caller doesn't need to. This makes a *lot* more of the uses fit onto a
  single line.

The patch also makes the following changes to the macro uses (beyond those
required by the changes described above).

- Fixes a bunch of labels that had gotten out of sync with the name of the
class and/or function that encloses them.

- Removes a useless PROFILER_LABEL use within a trivial scope in
  EventStateManager::DispatchMouseOrPointerEvent(). It clearly wasn't serving
any useful purpose. It also serves as extra evidence that the AUTO_ prefix is
  a good idea.

- Tweaks DecodePool::SyncRunIf{Preferred,Possible} so that the labelling is
done within them, instead of at their callsites, because that's a more
  standard way of doing things.
