b8333f6b37 Bug 1624118 - Fix various issues with view handling when loading <object> / <embed> as subdocuments. r=longsonr
These look like two really old bugs.

Part of the issue is that <object> / <embed> manage their frame loader quite
differently from <iframe>. This means that we may have a PresShell /
ViewManager / etc for a frame loader that doesn't yet have a frame associated.

For example, this is the viewport creation for the SVG document that reproduces
the problem:

However, even though aContainerView is non-null, the view is incorrect, it's
the view for the _old_ frame.

The view parent/child relationship gets cleared properly in:

But the temporary state is stored in the _old_ frame-loader, so when we create
the new frame, we get to nsSubDocumentFrame::Init, and find nothing, and thus
go through nsFrameLoader::Show. But we do have a pres-shell, and
nsFrameLoader::Show just early-returns then, and thus we end up with a detached
pres shell which is not hooked to the view tree and thus not painted...

So there are multiple potential fixes. First (this is the approach this patch
takes):

 * Make nsHideViewer not fail to hide a presentation when the frame loader
   has changed. This is not an issue per se, but leaves stale views / etc
   living for too long which is not nice.

 * Fix up the Show() code path to handle this case properly by parenting the
   pres-shell and initializing the docshell properly.

Second potential fix would be to store the temporary state somewhere else than
the frame loader (like the element). This may be a less invasive change
somehow, but it looks pretty fishy to me, and not particularly better...

Terribly sorry about the lack of test-case, but this is racy as crazy and I had
a lot of trouble to even reproduce it in a debug build. This needs the
PresShell creation for the subdocument to happen right after setting .data on
the <object>, but before processing its reframe.

4bb1a054be Bug 1871625 - Move AppShutdownConfirmed check in nsFrameLoader to a more appropriate place, r=smaug
This check was introduced in bug 1811195, but was added outside of the
normal opening flow, meaning that failures after this check would not be
handled properly, leading to potential assertion failures or unhandled
content process creation failures.

This patch adds a clarifying comment to ensure that we don't add checks
to the wrong place in the future, and moves the check into
`ContentParent::CreateBrowser` such that it is handled in a similar way
to other content process creation failures.

In addition, extra logic was added to ensure `mInitialized` gets set on
TryRemoteBrowserInternal failure, as new checks have been added before
the `mInitialized` check, and this seems likely to happen more in the
future.

Minor correction from https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D184821.
The definition of "same-origin" used in that patch was that the iframe's origin after navigation is the same as the triggering principal.
This was incorrect.
Instead, the origin of the iframe before navigation should be the same as after navigation, which is the frame's document principal at the time this is called.

Also, I found places where I missed adding the new fields to the loadinfo: LocationBase and nsFrameLoader.
And I added the redirect tainting check and a missing nullcheck before calling SetTriggeringWindowId in nsDocShell.

Unimplemented details:
 - Window load should not wait for in view lazy loading iframes.
   Unplanned for this patch and ship for now.

We also pass some other WPTs other engines do not too already too.
Also added a WPT to ensure using parse-time base URI for lazy -> eager iframes.

In order to "get reframed into a different document", we'd have to get

nulled-out on unbind, see:

 * nsGenericHTMLFrameElement::UnbindFromTree.

So just can't happen that we end up with that frameloader somehow in a

56be5080d2 Bug 1807687 - Simplify Windows keyboard indicator setting handling. r=NeilDeakin
The only thing that can explain this is the WM_UPDATEUISTATE state
getting out of sync in a way that we think we need to unconditionally
show focus indicators for a window.

I tried to first make this less error prone (see patch above) but
digging more into these messages, I'm pretty sure we just don't need all
this code. See:

 * https://devblogs.microsoft.com/oldnewthing/20130516-00/?p=4343
 * https://devblogs.microsoft.com/oldnewthing/20130517-00/?p=4323

In particular, this is intended to be a windows feature to not show
keyboard indicators on dialogs until you use the keyboard. But that's
how Gecko dialogs behave already due to how :focus-visible behaves as
per:

  https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/rev/43ee5e789b079e94837a21336e9ce2420658fd19/toolkit/components/prompts/src/CommonDialog.jsm#319

I haven't been able to repro this state, but sounds believable that it
could happen after opening a native dialog or so on?

The purpose of this code is to implement the 'Underline access keys' in
the Keyboard Accessibility control panel of windows.

There's an easier way of tracking this, via the SPI_GETKEYBOARDCUES SPI,
documented in:

  https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/winuser/nf-winuser-systemparametersinfoa

Hook that into LookAndFeel rather than using custom IPC and so on.

4b493b6a30 Bug 1595491 - Part 1: Make <embed> and <object> behave more like <iframe>. r=smaug,emilio
By making image loading in <embed> and <object> behave more like when
an <iframe> loads an image, we can make sure that the synthetic
document generated is process switched if the image is cross
origin. This is done by making image loading in nsObjectLoadingContent
follow the document loading path.

We also make sure that we pass the image size back to the embedder
element to not get stuck with the intrinsic size.

To avoid named targeting being able to target these synthetic
documents, as well as showing up in `Window.frames` and being counted
in `Window.length`, we keep a filtered list of non-synthetic browsing
contexts for that use-case.

This feature is controlled by two prefs:

* browser.opaqueResponseBlocking.syntheticBrowsingContext

  This triggers the creation of synthetic documents for images loaded
  in <object> or embed.

* browser.opaqueResponseBlocking.syntheticBrowsingContext.filter

  This turns on the filtering of synthetic browsing contexts in named
  targeting, `Window.length` and `Window.frames`.
